Eschuan era was the first era that mankind invented giant war mechs that were usable in full scale combat. Before then, the technology only existed for such designs for defensive toy mechs that were used to protect transport ships and allow children, women, and men to escape upon a ship being boarded by enemy invaders. These defensive toy mechs would engage enemy invaders in hand to hand combat and would usually be produces by the hundreds and exist in groups of hundreds on a ship.
